Blackwater is a Canadian band formed in 2010 by JoPo (singer/songwriter/guitar) and PJ Larabie (bass/lead guitar). In early 2011, JG Demers (drums/percussion) joined the group adding his own flavorable sound to the band.

With their wide range of influences and inspirations, this 3-piece power house band showcases a distinctively edgy and dynamic sound. Each member can play the drums, guitar, bass and sing, and throughout their sets they switch instruments around to make the show that much more entertaining.

Prior to uniting as BLACKWATER, the members have extensively toured North America, performed on television shows such as Breakfast Television, played on some of Canada’s most legendary stages along with high profile bands/artists, have had music videos aired on Much Music, successful singles on the radio (English/French), worked with world renown producers as well as played at some of the best dive bars/hell holes in Canada.

BLACKWATER is currently in the studio recording their new material and continue to ROCK the local stages in their city of Sudbury, Ontario. The bands style is ‘Psychedelic Blues Rock with slashes of Metal’. During their live show they play originals and covers but when playing a cover they give it the BLACKWATER'S EDGE.
